Writing Rules
Writing Rules
General Guidelines
As of the first issue of 2024, the Avicenna Anatolian Journal of Medicine will be published exclusively in English. Articles must include an abstract in English. Authors should use Latin nomenclature for anatomical terms. Additional details regarding language requirements can be found in the "Information for Authors" section.
Manuscripts written in English are strongly encouraged, and authors for whom English is not their native language are advised to seek assistance from professional English language editing services.
The journal accepts manuscripts that have not been previously published or are not under consideration elsewhere. However, abstracts previously presented at conferences may be eligible for publication in full-text form.
Articles must strictly adhere to the journal's specified writing rules to proceed through the review process. Manuscripts that fail to meet these requirements may be returned to the authors for corrections or rejected outright by the Editor and Advisory Board.
The journal does not provide monetary compensation for article copyrights. Authors are required to include a statement in the accompanying letter declaring the transfer of copyright to the Avicenna Anatolian Journal of Medicine. The final manuscript must be reviewed and approved by all listed authors.
Authors are solely responsible for the manuscript's content and the accuracy of its references. They are advised to retain a copy of their submission for their records. Withdrawal requests for manuscripts nearing a decision without a valid reason will result in the manuscript being "rejected."
The journal does not charge any fees for submission, processing, or publication.
Opinions expressed in published articles represent the views of the authors and do not reflect the official position of Gaziantep City Hospital. Once published, the article becomes the journal's property, and there is no obligation to provide refunds for rejected manuscripts.
