EDITORIAL FOREWORD
Dear Readers, Colleagues and Contributors,
We are pleased to present Volume 3, Issue 1 of the Avicenna Anatolian Journal of Medicine. This issue brings together seven original contributions spanning pathology, ophthalmology, medical genetics, neurology, otorhinolaryngology, hepatology and emergency medicine. Their common thread is methodological rigour in the service of everyday clinical problems: from macroscopic standardisation in large lung tumours and the impact of screen time on children's visual health, to a six-year Fragile X cohort from Eastern Anatolia, the diagnostic value of the fibrinogen-to-albumin ratio in migraine, quality of life after endoscopic sinus surgery, a non-invasive algorithm for hepatitis B management, and an assessment of resident preparedness for crush injury and compartment syndrome. Each paper reflects what this journal was established to do: generate and disseminate evidence that is relevant to the patients and populations of our region. We remain committed to constructive peer review, full adherence to publication ethics, and transparent reporting of any use of artificial intelligence in manuscript preparation.
